The 2025 RS7 highlights Audi’s high-performance side, standing apart from its tamer A7 and S7 siblings. This stylish hatchback sedan doesn’t just look aggressive—it delivers serious power with a 621-horsepower twin-turbo V8 under the hood. However, it isn’t just a high-strung weekend toy; it’s refined enough for everyday driving and long road trips. Audi is expected to refresh the A7 lineup within the next couple of years, for now, the RS7 remains a compelling ultra-performance alternative.
What’s New for 2025?
For the 2025 model year, the Audi RS7 remains largely unchanged, with the only notable update being the relocation of the Homelink smart home control buttons to the rearview mirror.
Pricing of Audi RS7
The 2025 Audi RS7 has a starting price of $131,195.
Engine, Transmission, and Performance
Under the hood, the RS7 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8, paired with a 48-volt hybrid system, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and Quattro all-wheel drive. This setup makes the latest RS7 heavier than its predecessor, which maxed out at 605 horsepower. To compensate, the 2025 model delivers 621 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, an increase from the 591 hp and 590 lb-ft found in the 2023 version.

Every RS7 rides on an adaptive air suspension, which allows for variable stiffness levels. Despite its large wheels—21-inch standard, 22-inch optional—the RS7 remains composed across all drive modes. Its chassis and rear-wheel steering system contribute to exceptional agility in corners, making it both thrilling and comfortable.
0-60 MPH Performance
Although we haven’t tested the RS7 Performance yet, the prior 591-horsepower version reached 60 mph in just 3.0 seconds. Audi claims the 2025 RS7 is 0.2 seconds quicker to 62 mph, so we anticipate it may dip below the 3.0-second mark in the 0-60 mph sprint.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
The RS7 delivers impressive performance but is fuel-thirsty, with EPA ratings of 14 mpg city and 22 mpg highway. We have yet to conduct real-world testing, but when we previously evaluated the 591-hp RS7 (which was rated at 15 mpg city/22 mpg highway), it achieved 23 mpg in our 75-mph highway fuel economy test.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The RS7’s interior layout and space are shared with the standard A7, it includes exclusive RS-specific details and premium customization options. The cabin exudes quality, with fine materials and meticulous craftsmanship. Standard front sport seats come upholstered in rich leather, but can be upgraded with even plusher leather and ventilated cushions.

In the rear, passengers can choose between two-seat or three-seat configurations, offering 19 cubic feet of cargo space with the seats up and 49 cubic feet when folded down, making it more practical than most sports sedans.
Infotainment and Connectivity
Every RS7 features an advanced infotainment system controlled through two integrated touchscreens, positioned within the dashboard and center console. While the sleek design enhances aesthetics, the reliance on the lower screen for climate and vehicle settings can divert the driver’s attention from the road. To help with this, Audi’s voice-recognition system allows for hands-free adjustments.
The upper screen houses the navigation system, which can also be displayed in the fully digital gauge cluster. Standard features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charging, and a Wi-Fi hotspot (subscription required). The premium Bang & Olufsen sound system, available as an upgrade, delivers 1,820 watts through 19 speakers, making for an immersive listening experience.
