The 2025 Nissan Armada undergoes notable updates, continuing to fulfill its role as a full-size SUV with significant passenger and cargo capacity. The model now features a twin-turbo V-6 engine, replacing the previous V-8, while maintaining its impressive towing capabilities. The addition of an optional four-wheel-drive system (with rear-wheel drive as the standard) enhances its off-road performance.
Furthermore, the new turbocharged V-6 provides superior power and torque compared to the V-8, offering 425 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque—an increase of 25 horsepower and 103 lb-ft. The Armada is available in a variety of trims, ranging from the more affordable SV and SL models to the off-road focused Pro-4X and the luxurious Platinum Reserve, which competes with the Infiniti QX80 in terms of premium features.
Pricing and Which One to Buy
The 2025 Nissan Armada starts at $58,530, with prices ranging up to $79,000 depending on the trim level and options.
- SV: $58,530
- SL: $64,980
- Platinum: $71,940
- Pro-4X: $75,750
- Platinum Reserve: $79,000
The SL trim represents the best value due to its feature set. It includes a premium audio system, heated front seats and steering wheel, power-folding third-row seats, and a power liftgate.
Engine, Transmission, and Performance
A key change for the 2025 Armada is the replacement of the V-8 engine with a new twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6. This new engine delivers better performance, producing 425 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque—an increase of 25 horsepower and 103 lb-ft over the old V-8. The Armada uses a nine-speed automatic transmission, with rear-wheel drive as standard and optional four-wheel drive. New features, such as an available height-adjustable air suspension and a locking rear differential on four-wheel-drive models, enhance the Armada’s off-road capabilities and driving experience.

0-60 MPH Times
Although we have not tested the Armada yet, we anticipate it will reach 60 mph in about 6.0 seconds. We will update this section once we complete testing.
Towing and Payload Capacity
The Armada maintains a maximum towing capacity of 8,500 pounds, matching the previous model’s towing capability.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
The new twin-turbo V-6 is expected to provide slightly better fuel economy than the V-8, which was EPA-rated at up to 16 mpg combined. The EPA has not yet rated the 2025 Armada, but the closely related 2025 Infiniti QX80, which uses the same engine, has an EPA rating of up to 18 mpg combined.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The Armada offers a spacious three-row interior with seating for seven or eight passengers, depending on the configuration of the second-row bench or captain’s chairs. It boasts more cargo space than before, and in higher trims, the third-row seats fold automatically with the press of a button. The Platinum Reserve trim is especially luxurious, featuring premium materials like quilted leather, giving the Armada a distinctly high-end feel.
Infotainment and Connectivity
All trims of the Armada come equipped with dual 12.3-inch screens across the dashboard: one for the digital gauge cluster and the other for the touchscreen infotainment system. Higher trims upgrade to a larger 14.3-inch screen. Optional Google built-in apps are available, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard. A 12-speaker Klipsch stereo system is available on the SL, Pro-4X, and Platinum trims.
