That didn’t take long at all. Just days after Kia teased three new all-electric models—including the production version of the EV4 sedan and hatchback—the South Korean automaker has already unveiled some images and details. Originally, these vehicles were slated for their grand reveal at the 2025 Kia EV Day event later this month in Spain. However, it appears Kia has moved up its schedule and released information ahead of time.
A First Look at the Kia EV4
Kia first introduced a concept version of the EV4 at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2023. The teaser images shared recently suggested that the production model would closely resemble the concept, and now that the official photos are out, that assumption has proven to be accurate.

Buyers will have two options: a sedan or a hatchback. The sedan sports a sleek, tapering roofline that ends in a short trunk lid featuring a subtle integrated spoiler. Meanwhile, the hatchback has a noticeably more pronounced rear, likely designed to enhance cargo space. Naturally, the hatchback version of the EV4 has a boxier and more conventional profile compared to the sedan.
Regardless of the body style, the production EV4 remains remarkably faithful to its concept. Retractable exterior door handles contribute to a streamlined appearance while offering slight aerodynamic benefits. The headlights and taillights are unexpectedly angular and distinctly vertical, giving the car a unique aesthetic. Adding to the bold design are the 19-inch wheels, which incorporate a square motif—something quite different from the current industry trend. Up front, Kia’s signature EV Tiger Face motif is prominently displayed, accompanied by the brand’s Star Map lighting signature.
While the exterior is now fully revealed, Kia has yet to provide any interior photos of the EV4. It seems we’ll have to wait until later this month to get a look inside.

Kia’s Vision for the EV4
In an official statement, Karim Habib, Kia’s Executive Vice President and Head of Global Design, highlighted the significance of this new electric model. He described the EV4 as “a clear reflection of our commitment to rethink mobility and expand the boundaries of what design can achieve.” He further emphasized that by offering both sedan and hatchback variants, Kia aims to provide customers with a modern and practical driving experience that suits diverse lifestyles.
More Details Coming Soon
At this time, Kia has not disclosed key specifications for the EV4. There’s still no official word on range, DC fast-charging speeds, power output, or pricing. However, more details are expected to be released at the 2025 Kia EV Day, scheduled for February 27.
