Ferrari has officially introduced its 2025 F1 challenger to the world, unveiling the new car following the presentation of their race livery at the F1 75 Live season launch event.
The team’s latest driver pairing, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, joined Team Principal Fred Vasseur to showcase their design for the upcoming season in a special event at The O2 in London. Shortly after, the first official images of the SF-25 were released, giving fans a closer look at the machine set to take on the competition.
This moment marks the dawn of a new chapter for the Scuderia, as Hamilton embarks on his journey with the team after concluding a remarkable 12-year tenure at Mercedes. The seven-time World Champion shared his enthusiasm during the F1 75 Live event, expressing that he felt “so full of life” ahead of his highly anticipated debut season in red.
Following its unveiling on Tuesday, the SF-25 is set to hit the track for the first time during a shakedown session at Ferrari’s Fiorano circuit on Wednesday, with both Hamilton and Leclerc taking turns behind the wheel.
From there, Ferrari will join the grid for pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit from February 26-28 before the season officially begins with the Australian Grand Prix, scheduled for March 14-16.
Reflecting on the launch, Hamilton shared his thoughts: “My first few weeks with the team have been absolutely incredible. I’ve witnessed firsthand the passion and dedication of everyone at Ferrari, and unveiling my first-ever Scuderia Ferrari HP car today is truly exciting.
“So much effort has gone into preparing for the season, and our hunger and determination to succeed couldn’t be stronger. I entered this year full of anticipation for this new adventure, and now, after seeing the energy and belief of everyone around me, I feel even more motivated.
“I couldn’t be prouder to be on this journey with them. I can’t wait to get out on track with Charles, push each other to new heights, and give everything we have to bring Ferrari back to the top.”
Leclerc echoed Hamilton’s excitement: “I’m really thrilled about the launch of the SF-25. Every season, we push to improve, and the team has been working relentlessly for months. Last year, the championship fight was incredibly close, and we just missed out on the title. This season, our goal is crystal clear: we want to win the Constructors’ Championship, and my personal aim is to secure the Drivers’ title.
“Since Lewis joined, we’ve already started working very closely together, and I believe his experience and approach will be a huge source of inspiration for me. I feel physically and mentally stronger than ever, and I’m eager to hit the track and do everything possible to bring Scuderia Ferrari HP back to where it belongs—at the top.”
Vasseur also shared his thoughts: “The launch of this new car is a moment of great pride and excitement for everyone at Ferrari. The SF-25 represents months of dedication and hard work by the entire team at Maranello, and now, we’re eager to see our efforts come to life on track.
