When the Typhoon was first introduced, its base price was $29,790, which, when adjusted for inflation, equates to roughly $65,781 today. So, what makes this particular GMC so special?
Exceptionally Low Mileage and Limited Production
The most compelling factor? Its incredibly low mileage. This Typhoon has only been driven 688 miles (1,107 km) since new. But that’s not all—it’s one of just 77 models ever produced in Apple Red with matching body cladding and wheel arches. Having been sparingly driven over the past three decades, it appears almost as pristine as the day it left the factory.
A Classic Performance Machine
Under the hood, the Typhoon houses a turbocharged 4.3-liter V6 engine, producing 280 horsepower and 350 lb-ft (475 Nm) of torque. Power is delivered via a four-speed automatic transmission, with a limited-slip differential at the rear and a BorgWarner transfer case ensuring smooth performance.
This rare two-door SUV retains its original 16-inch wheels. Many of its components, including the engine, were sourced directly from the legendary GMC Syclone pickup.
