Omoda 7 SUV
Omoda has confirmed that its mid-size SUV, the previously revealed 7, will be priced from £29,915 when it reaches UK dealerships early next year.
Positioned between the smaller 5 and the flagship 9 in Omoda’s lineup, the 7 will be offered with a choice of engines. Buyers can select either a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine or opt for Omoda’s Super Hybrid System. The hybrid, priced from £32,000, pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit with an electric motor and an 18.3kWh battery.
This hybrid setup delivers a combined 201bhp and 269lb ft of torque, enabling a 0-62mph time of 8.4 seconds and a top speed of 112mph. However, the standout metric is its WLTP-tested range of “over” 700 miles, which includes up to 56 miles of electric-only driving.
The battery supports up to 40kW fast charging, capable of boosting the charge from 30 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes. Still, those watching their pennies will likely stick to home charging, which will take a bit longer but be more economical.

Two trim levels will be offered to UK customers, both of which Omoda says have been “optimised” for British tastes. True to the trend among upstart Chinese brands, both trims come packed with generous equipment as they aim to entice buyers into showrooms.
The entry-level Knight trim includes 19-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, a six-speaker Sony sound system, wireless smartphone pairing, 50W cooled wireless charging, and a 540-degree camera system.
Moving up to the Noble trim adds 20-inch alloy wheels, a 1.45-meter panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated gaming-inspired seats with six-way electric adjustment for both driver and front passenger, a fragrance-dispensing climate system, four-zone voice control, a 12-speaker Sony audio setup, and an electric tailgate.
All models will benefit from a seven-year/100,000-mile warranty, while the hybrid version includes an additional eight-year battery warranty. RAC Home Start coverage is also provided for the duration of the warranty period.
The Omoda 7 will compete in a crowded segment, facing rivals such as the Jaecoo 7, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, Nissan Qashqai, and MG HS.
